Increased volume potential

19 August, 2010

This summer we´ve kept ourselves busy with work. Focus has been on improvements, enrichment and refinements of our portfolio, as well as development of new services.

So, after many hot weeks behind our screens, we are really happy to announce that we are launching an E-mail version of our TravelPlanner service. A launch that greatly increases the volume potential for our service.

The first of our existing clients to launch the service are BIG Travel, Resevaruhuset, Doodle, Travelstore and Flygpoolen.

Stay tuned for more news, cheers!

Thankful

4 June, 2010

When I took a run the other day I realized how thankful I am, in many many ways.

First of all I am so thankful for having Sara and my 3 lovely kids close to me :-) And your are all healthy and well being. The joy and happiness that you bring me on a daily basis is unbelievable :-) Thank you!

Secondly I am thankful to be able to work like a do, being a part of a team building a really cool company from scratch with our bare hands (or at least with our minds). As an entrepreneur I do what I love, I do it when it suits me and my agenda, and I do it with people I really care about. People that I would choose to spend time with outside the office as well. It´s like having your hobby as a job, sounds kind of nice right :-)

Finally, I´m thankful to live in a fantastic time period, where change is cool and something exiting, and technology gives freedom and opportunities to everyone. Anyone can set up a business and make money out of pretty much nothing. That’s fabulous! And cool! So once again, thanks for being a part of it (and hopefully contributing some as well).

Did I mention that the sun shines as well, cheers!

Vote for me!

1 April, 2010

Hi,

During a couple of weeks I have been blogging about my life as an entrepreneur at one of the biggest business magazines in Sweden, Privata Affärer. If you´ve missed it, you have some catch up reading to do here!

It´s been great fun for sure, not the least due to the possibility to get in contact with loads of people I didn´t know before. Many of them mailed to me saying I inspired them in one way or another, and that is quite an ego boost I must say :-)

There is also a competition concerning who writes the best blog, so if you want to support me with your vote, please click here and follow the instructions.

Your vote is of course highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

50 percent marketshare and growing

5 February, 2010

Dear Traveas friend,

We are really happy to see that all our contracted clients now are live and launched, which means that travellers from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, UK, France, and Holland now can travel in control. Con gratulations!

We are also very happy to announce that due to the eTRAVELi purchase of Travelstart´s European accounts, another 11% of the Nordic Online Travel Agency market now offers our TravelPlanner. We are very proud to see that we´ve grown our market share in the Nordic online travel agency market from 0% to more than 50% contracted. In less than a year. I guess we´re doing something right :-)

We have launched our “push marketing mail” function, which is a mail supported sales tool for offline agencies wanting to increase the share of travellers that uses our TravelPlanner service.  The initial weeks with that new function shows a satisfying growth of users.

Speaking of conversion rates, the share of travellers that actively opt in for our service when they book their trip with one of our online travel agency clients, really outperforms our expectations.

More happy news, last week we launched a mobile check-in function in the TravelPlanner. This means that there are mobile check-in possibilities at a number of airlines that supports mobile check-in. So far we offer that possibility for the following airlines:

Finally, we are really excited to let you know that Traveas now broadens our scope with new services based upon the same technique that brought you the TravelPlanner. Within the travel industry we´ve created niched services for both Hotels and Car rental companies. We´ve also created services for more industries, and first out is the media industry and our new service NewsFLASH. Within this new brand we will deliver subscription based services for news, gossip, jobs, press releases to mention a few. All services are based upon our unique plattform MobilizerTM, that generically and automatically aggregates and enrichens traditional content and publishes it a mobile units.

That was all for now, but we will be back later on with more exciting news, Cheers!

Traveas at Arctic Evening Stockholm

10 November, 2009

Some time ago I got a call from Miikka Kukkosuo at Arctic Startup. He kindly asked me if I wanted to be a part of the panel discussion at the next Arctic Evening they planned for in Stockholm in November, the second Arctic Evening Stockholm.

Naturally I was very honored to get that question and my answer back to Miikka was of course nothing but a yes.

The theme for this Arctic Evening will be Mobile smartphone solutions and trendshow to strategically build business around the different native application platforms and mobile web.

The event is next Wednesday the 18th of November at 18.00 hours, and it will take place at O-baren just as last time.

Besides myself and the Arctic Moderator, Viktor Björk and Hjalmar Winbladh will be a part of the panel. Viktor titles himself Spin Doctor and works at Cloudo with strategic partnerships. Cloudo is definitely one of the most interesting startups of today, so I really look forward to meet him.

Hjalmar is a serial entrepreneur, who I had the privilege to meet in business a couple of years ago when I was CEO at Torget.se. Hjalmar is currently Chairman and Founder of Rebtel. Before that he was the first Swede to sell a company to Microsoft, when he sold his first venture Sendit back in the 90´ies. It will be really nice to meet him again.

So, mark the date in your calendars, and don’t forget to apply to get your ticket to the event. The tickets are free of charge, but due to limited number of seats, apply a.s.a.p after the tix are released. The tix will be released on wednesday the 11th of November at 12.00 a clock lunch time. Read more about the event and how to get your ticket here, and read more about Traveas on Arctic Startup here.

Hope to see as many of you there!

Cheers!

Video is a powerful tool!

20 October, 2009

One of my sources of inspiration when it comes to blogging, and also the key reason that I started to blog, is the one and only Christian Rudolf at Disruptive. Some of you might remember an earlier post from me describing how I started to blog, but if not please read it.

Anyhow, some time ago I ran into Christian at a lunch restaurant and as we both were leaving the place I offered to give him a ride. We talked about various things in my car and Christian told me about his new interest of doing video interviews to publish on Disruptive.

Then, not long ago I had another chat with Christian and he said: Why don´t you come over and I´ll bring the camera. So, last week I did. One interesting part about his way of doing video interviews is that we sat and talked for more than an hour about pretty much everything from A to Z. Based upon that dialog Christian narrowed down three things he wanted me to do a reflection on. Those reflections is pretty much a 10 minute summary of our very long and interesting chat about loads of stuff, published in a naked uncut version. And here´s the result, enjoy:

One very interesting thing that happened after this interview was published on the Disruptive Channel at YouTube was that I got a call from one of the leading online business magazines in Sweden, Realtid.se, who made their own interview with me and published it right away. Read the interview with me on Realtid here! I guess there´s some true power in the Disruptive Channel.

Read about Christians own reflections on this session on this disruptive blog post or at this Företagende.se blog post.

For more video interviews done by Christian, take a look at the Disruptive Channel at YouTube. For all of you that wants to read more about Christians (and his co-blogger Poppens) thoughts about entrepreneurship, please insert this feed into your RSS reader now!  I promise it´s worth reading!

Bye for now!
