50 percent marketshare and growing

Dear Traveas friend,

We are really happy to see that all our contracted clients now are live and launched, which means that travellers from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, UK, France, and Holland now can travel in control. Con gratulations!

We are also very happy to announce that due to the eTRAVELi purchase of Travelstart´s European accounts, another 11% of the Nordic Online Travel Agency market now offers our TravelPlanner. We are very proud to see that we´ve grown our market share in the Nordic online travel agency market from 0% to more than 50% contracted. In less than a year. I guess we´re doing something right :-)

We have launched our “push marketing mail” function, which is a mail supported sales tool for offline agencies wanting to increase the share of travellers that uses our TravelPlanner service.  The initial weeks with that new function shows a satisfying growth of users.

Speaking of conversion rates, the share of travellers that actively opt in for our service when they book their trip with one of our online travel agency clients, really outperforms our expectations.

More happy news, last week we launched a mobile check-in function in the TravelPlanner. This means that there are mobile check-in possibilities at a number of airlines that supports mobile check-in. So far we offer that possibility for the following airlines:

Finally, we are really excited to let you know that Traveas now broadens our scope with new services based upon the same technique that brought you the TravelPlanner. Within the travel industry we´ve created niched services for both Hotels and Car rental companies. We´ve also created services for more industries, and first out is the media industry and our new service NewsFLASH. Within this new brand we will deliver subscription based services for news, gossip, jobs, press releases to mention a few. All services are based upon our unique plattform MobilizerTM, that generically and automatically aggregates and enrichens traditional content and publishes it a mobile units.

Today we proudly announce a new feature in our TravelPlanner service, mobile check-in possibilities.
This means that travellers flying with following airlines can check-in via their mobile phone:

•    British Airways
•    Lufthansa
•    KLM
•    Swiss
•    Thai Airways
•    Continental
•    Air France

Mobile phones are great, right :-)

Traveas conquers Germany with DERPART

A lot is not enough, we always want more :-)

So, let me inform you about a major breakthrough for Traveas on the German market:

DERPART Travel Service launches personal mobile itineraries!

DERPART Travel Service is one of the leading travel agency networks in Germany, with more than 480 agencies including 60 service centers all over the country.  Two of their biggest agencies, the offices in Munich and Düsseldorf, now launches personal mobile itineraries.

Fred Buchberger, Managing Director DERPART Travel Service Munich, says:
“We constantly aim to deliver upon our clients needs of flexibility and service, and an always updated itinerary direct in the mobile phone solves many problems and situations. Needless to say that we of course are extremely proud of this partnership with two of the leading DERPART offices in Germany. The German market is a giant market, and since DERPART is a huge network in Germany this is a very important breakthrough for us. We very much look forward to start working with DERPART.

At the Traveas headquarters there´s a lot of great stuff going on, but this time I must say we are a bit extra proud.

This means that our TravelPlanner™ soon will be available for 1 million people travelling worldwide.

For all of you without deep knowledge in the travel business, FlightStats is the leading provider of worldwide flight on-time performance information. Now, they have decided to broaden their mobile alerts for everone globally, and they have chosen Traveas to become their strategic partner for SMS/Text Messaging alerts. By making Traveas mobile alert services available for all visitors at www.flightstats.com, the partnership opens up a market window for all FlightStats users outside the US and North America, approximately 1 million users per month.

Resevaruhuset for President!

When we started out to make reality out of this small idea about providing relevant information to travellers – when they need it, we envisioned one thing:
In a future all travellers will demand to be kept up to date while travelling!

We have put a lot of effort into this small idea, turning it into a project that become a company, that further on even became a public company listed on Aktietorget. We have lots of clients who all have shares our beliefs that information to travellers is a good thing. They all have made our service TravelPlanner™ accessible within their portfolios. That is of course great stuff!

But now, one travel agency have taken it one step further. That agency is Resevaruhuset. resevaruhuset-logo They have taken the final step towards our vision: All travellers will be kept up to date while travelling.
How? They will give away the service to all there travellers for free. I repeat:
To all!
Always!
For free!

This is of course fantastic news to us, and we salute Resevaruhuset at all times :-)

GIBE Travel launches personal mobile itineraries

Moving on to our next client, GIBE Travel I have to tell you a true and in my opinion lovely story.

I was one of the speakers during Kapitalmarknadsdagen 2009, which I´ve blogged about earlier. In the coffee break after my session upon stage a Russian woman named Zoya Diriba came up to me and thanked me very sincerely.
- Thank your for what I asked her?
- Thank you for inspiring me and for visualizing that everething is possible.

I felt very honored of course by here straight forward comment, and we started talking. It turned out that she owns and runs a travel agency together with her husband, and the name of the agency is GIBE Travel. Zoyas husband is from Ethiopia, and GIBE is therefore specialized on the African market.

Two weeks later we met again at their office in Stockholm, and they are now not only new clients for our service TravelPlanner™, they are also share holders in Traveas AB (publ).

Now that’s what I call a Cinderella story :-)

We´ve been doing a lot of business lately, so I plan to drop some great brands that will launch our service TravelPlanner™ within the next months.

Big Travel goes green

A little late I know, but another really great thing lately is our proud announcement about our new client Big Travel. With more than 30 travel stores around Sweden, Norway and Denmark plus online sales through their websites, they are one of the leading agencies in the Nordics.

We are of course proud of all our clients, but one thing that makes us extra excited about this cooperation is the fact that BIG Travel distinctly expressed their focus on delivering more environmental options to their customers. The launch of personal mobile itineraries certainly aligns with their strategy and hopefully a majority of their clients have printed their last traditional paper itinerary.
