Key Account Manager:

We think you are experienced in selling online media, with a focus on bigger clients and media agencies. Experienced, in a way that you have built up your network and reputation on the market, ready to fly a new plane! However, yet hungry for more sales and doing more business (we are not looking for a Sales Manager). To set your expectations right: you´re gonna bring in the orders yourself.

In your sales portfolio you´ll have two of the most fast growing advertising networks in the Nordics:

- Traveas Travel Network (reaching millions of travellers all over the world)

- Traveas Sports Network (reaching millions of active athletes within golf, football, ice hockey, floor ball and basketball)

All in all, Traveas aggregates media volumes for the Nordic market up to approx 40 million unique email sendouts to travellers and active athletes.

Traveas on Travel News Studio

Hi,

Traveas was invited to join the panel at Travel News Studio for a discussion on where the travel industry is heading in the future. Travel News Studio is a yearly event arranged by the largest magazine in the nordic travel industry, Travel News.

The theme for this year was “An industry in change”, which also was the main topic for our panel discussion.

Launch: The largest advertising network in sports, for active athletes

Hi, this is your friends at Traveas again, back with some really exciting stuff. This time in sports.

You see, we´re now launching the largest advertising network for sports, in Sweden. During 2012 we will make approx 40 million sport connected email send outs. Our advertising network is specialized not only in communicating via email, but via transaction driven email send outs . This means that we send an email in the aftermath of a transaction, a booking being made or an event taking place.

For instance, we send more than 10 million email send outs to active golfers, on their way to the golf course. Imagine the power if you sell golf balls…

I know, we´re still somewhat of a small company, however we´re just humans who founded and built the company.

So, therefore we´re damn happy and proud to let you all know that we have reached a for us very important milestone: a positive cash flow for a whole quarter :-)

A whole quarter… that´s more than have an awesome week or even a great month. A quarter is a bit more solid.

Traveas update

Hi all Traveas friends!

First of all, sorry for the lack of activity on the blog lately. It has nothing to do with lazyness nor inactivity in our business. On the contrary, we´ve kept ourselves quite busy. In fact, so busy that the daily operations have eaten up all our time. Motto: Business first, then blog about it :-)

Anyhow, this will therefore be an attempt to summarize the past months:

First of all, we´ve now successfully launched the Email Composer service for our first travel clients. If you´ve missed out on how it works, check out this clip:

Thereafter we´ve applied our tehnology on new industries, opening up a whole new market for Traveas. For instance, we´ve succesfully launched a tailored Email Composer version for the Swedish Golf Association, that handles all bookings of tee off times, for every golf club in Sweden (more than 500 clubs).

This means that all Swedish golfers, including the other fellow players in a ball, get an enriched email confirmation about their booking. In short, besides facts about their tee off time, handicap status, they also get local and relevant information. To mention a few examples:

- Weather forecast

- Special offers on golf balls, clubs, clothing etc

- Golf trips

- Green fee guests will get a map with directions to get there

Traveas have suddenly, over night, become the biggest and by far most precise golf media in Sweden. We send approx 10 million emails to active golfers during 2011. I´ll get back further on with more details about this new golf media.

Further on, in the aftermath of us now being somewhat of a media company, we sell advertising space. Looking back on the portfolio of brands we´ve attracted as advertisers and sponsors, we´re really proud :-) For the travel media we see leading players within ground transportations, hotels, exchange institutions, banks, insurance etc.

For our golf media we´ve seen leading companies within all golf associated brands, as well as banks, cars, watches etc.

I´ll settle for this for now, but I will return within shortly with more information, fun deals and stories to be told from inside the Traveas team :-)

Traveas Newsletter: New Services and a bunch of new clients

Dear Traveas friend,

Long time no see or hear, so I guess it´s about time for a quick update of what we´ve been up to lately.

Well, we kept ourselves quite busy, so here´s an attempt to do a quick summary of our last 6 months:

We closed a number of new deals in the travel industry, getting the confidence from major players in the Nordic market. So we say warm welcome to:

o Ticket Leisure

o Travelstart

o Travelstore

o Scanworld

o Svenska Golfförbundet (SGF)

We developed a total new concept: Bookings Enriched. Two services are connected to the concept, Email Composer and Block Composer. The concept is all about enriching booking confirmations with local, relevant and revenue driving content. To get an even better understanding of what we mean when we talk about Bookings Enriched, watch Traveas the Movie:

Thanks to Email Composer, we entered a for us totally new market, the world of Golf. Through a unique partnership with the Swedish Golf Association, we have gotten the honorable mission to enriche all booking confirmations sent out to golfers when a start time is booked, for all 500 golfclubs in Sweden. This means, that we will send approx 15 million unique emails to active golfers during 2011. Now this is what we call Golf 2.0 :-)

Also, thanks to the launch of Email Composer, we´ve become somewhat of a Media Company. We will already during 2011 become the largest and most accurate Travel Media and Golf Media in the Nordics.

We added mobile check in to our TravelPlanner service, covering many of the biggest commercial airline companies.

We hired more people

Scanworld goes for enriched booking confirmations

Hi, back again with more good news.

If you remember, first out to sign a contract for our Email Composer was BIG Travel, Doodle and Flygpoolen.

Next out is Scanworld, one of the largest privately held business travel agencies in Sweden.

This means that all Scanworld clients will receive enriched booking confirmations from Traveas, based upon our concept Email Composer. Besides the pure facts about a trip, such as flight times, terminal information, booking confirmations etc, the enriched booking confirmations contains other valuable information such as:

  • Weather forecast and exchange rates for the destination
  • Social media connections
  • Alternative ways to get to and from the airport
  • Destination guides
  • Other local and relevant information such as tickets to concerts and sports events
  • Restaurant table bookings

All this information is profitable, and all revenues that the booking confirmations generates is shared back to Scanworld.

This means that all Scanworld travellers can access the most relevant information about their trip, and at the same time Scanworld can drive totally new revenue streams, that they never would get themselves.

Ticket chooses Traveas for Mobile itineraries

A couple of weeks ago we proudly presented a breaking news for our small company, our new client Ticket Leisure (or Ticket Privat as they are called here in Sweden).

Ticket is the largest privately held Travel Agency in Sweden, and at the same time one of the largest chain of Travel Agencies in the Nordic region.

In total, this means that our TravelPlanner service will be offered to Ticket clients in approximately 80 travel stores in Sweden and Norway, as well as online via Ticket.se, Ticket.no and Ticket.dk

That means lots and lots of people can Travel in Control :-)

Needless to say, we are really proud to get the concidence from such a large player in the Nordic travel industry. It surely is a receipt that we do great stuff for Travel Agencies and their clients.
